Sandra Robinson

Sandra

Sandra has worked as a childbirth educator and personal birth support person (also known as a doula) in Sydney for almost twenty years. Her childbirth education training began with Birthing Rites Australia, which consisted of a full-time two year course and countless hours supporting parents and siblings during labour, birth and early parenting.

She continues to facilitate childbirth classes, as well as working with couples on a one-to-one basis as a personal birth and parenting support resource. Over the years she has been involved in developing training programs for childbirth educators and professional birth support people.

In 1999 Sandra created the concept of a superb online resource library that ultimately became the renowned web site birth.com.au. She developed this highly regarded resource, containing over a million words of content, with her business partner, midwife and personal friend Catherine Price. Sandra and Catherine have an impressive collective knowledge derived from over 40 years experience in the areas of pregnancy, labour, birth and parenting. This foundation has provided many Australians, living at home and overseas, with an invaluable resource.

Sandra has a truly amazing family, who continue to afford her the opportunity to pursue her passion of supporting women and their families. She is married to Stephen and together they have three wonderful children - Alice, Liam and Declan - who all continue to take her breath away.
